This Privacy Policy explains how GrablyMedia collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and public media downloader. By using GrablyMedia you agree to this policy. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We may update this page from time to time; changes take effect when posted here.
1. Types of Information Collected
1.1 We may collect information about how you use the website, such as pages visited and features used. Some of this information may be collected with cookies or similar technologies. We do not require an account to use the core downloader, and we do not intend to collect special-category data such as health, race, religion, political opinions, or sexual orientation.
1.2 When you request a page or analyze a URL, our servers may log technical data from the request, including IP address, time, requested URL path, user agent, and similar headers. We use this so the Service can function, stay reliable, and be improved. This operational data is not used to build a marketing profile of you.
1.3 When you paste a media URL, we process that URL and related technical metadata needed to detect the platform and list available formats (for example request identifiers, timestamps, and platform detection results). We do not ask you to log into third-party platforms through GrablyMedia.
1.4 We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and, if configured, to measure usage with analytics. By continuing to use the site you agree to that use as described here.
1.5 The Service may contain links to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are their own. Information those sites collect is governed by their policies, not this one.
2. Purpose of Use
We collect and use information to:
- deliver, maintain, and improve the Service, including troubleshooting and understanding usage trends;
- keep the Service free, which may include showing advertisements if we add them;
- measure reliability (errors, latency, rate limits) and prevent abuse or fraud;
- provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
- comply with legal obligations, including lawful requests from authorities;
- process data where you have given consent, such as optional analytics cookies.
3. Cookies and Analytics
3.1 A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Cookies help the site work and can help us understand aggregate usage. They do not, by themselves, tell us your name.
3.2 You can configure your browser to accept cookies, notify you when a cookie is set, or reject cookies. If you decline cookies, some parts of the Service may not work as intended.
3.3 If Google Analytics (or a similar analytics partner) is enabled, that partner may set cookies to help us see how the Service is used. Event tracking is designed not to include raw media URLs or other unnecessary personal details. We do not control third-party cookies set by those partners. This policy does not cover cookies set solely by third parties.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us host, operate, or analyze the Service, under confidentiality obligations;
- advertising or measurement partners if we display ads, using technical data such as browser or cookie identifiers — not the media URLs you paste;
- aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you;
- legal requests, investigations, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of GrablyMedia, users, or the public;
- a new owner if GrablyMedia is transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4.1 Analyzing a URL contacts our backend, which may fetch publicly available information from the source platform. That request is necessary to provide the downloader. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their terms.
4.2 Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps appropriate to the Service’s size and nature to keep that processing consistent with this policy.
5. Advertising
If ads appear on the site, they may be delivered by partners who set their own cookies to recognize your browser and serve ads they believe are relevant. Those partners’ cookies are covered by their policies, not this one.
6. Security
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Protection
GrablyMedia is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact abhipatel.dev@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Retention
8.1 We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service, operate the site, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Operational logs are retained for a limited period unless a longer period is required.
8.2 When information is no longer needed, we delete it or keep it only in aggregated or anonymized form where that is practical.
8.3 We cannot guarantee that information will never be disclosed through unlawful interception, technical failure, or unauthorized access. We use reasonable methods to protect your privacy, but confidentiality on the public internet cannot be guaranteed.
9. Your Rights
9.1 Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights over personal data we hold, which can include:
- access to personal information we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- withdrawal or modification of consent where processing is based on consent;
- deletion of personal information, subject to legal retention needs.
9.2 To make a request, email abhipatel.dev@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. If someone submits a request on your behalf, we may require proof of authorization.
10. Updates to This Privacy Policy
10.1 We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Please check this page periodically.
10.2 Information collected after an update is handled under the policy then in effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
